A Blood Deep Darkness is the first book in Tish Thomas's The Dark Reunion Series. Get ready to meet a variety of characters who are sure to engage you in this dark paranormal romance series.

A Blood Deep Darkness introduces you to three characters in the first few chapters. Camden is just being released from prison after a "heinous" act. Well, it's only "heinous" if you find what he did offensive. However, once you learn more about him and his backstory, the pieces of his particular puzzle begin to make sense. Cam is a jaded character, but it's understandable as to why. He's a vampire, but it's how he learned what he is that threw him into the spiral that he found himself in.

Then there's Abigail. Bent on revenge, and understandably so she has no qualms about doing what she feels that she must. Her story is one of horror and tragedy. Where even love seems to have no place in her heart. She doesn't care about the cost that others will have to pay for her actions. This fact alone will make you narrow your eyes at her. You'll be hoping for something that will come along and smack her upside the head to make her see sense.

Next, her sister Danielle. Honestly, when the author got to Danielle, I literally had to do a double-take (reread a section) I thought that I was reading things wrong. LOL! Don't worry! It's not the author. It was me. I got mixed up and thought that Danielle was Kennedy for a second. It's all good folks. LOL! Danielle is what I would classify as the "softer" of the two sisters. Where her sister is bloodthirsty and out for revenge, Danielle mourns the past. The loss and the heartbreak.

Sparks fly when Camden and Danielle cross paths later in the story. Danielle is on a quest to save her sister, and Cam is trying to decipher the meanings of the Vampiric Triumph. He's not the only one though which leads these characters on a dangerous dance that will have others nipping at their heels.

This novel starts out slow, but as it moves forward it will keep you engaged and coming back for more. The characters are complex, but will have to wonder - what is going to happen next? When will they give in to their mutual attraction to each other? What will it mean for all around them and connected to them? Lots of questions, lots of drama, and the romance starts ramping up.

Brace yourself for the ending though. The author is going to leave you wondering - what happens next? Where do things go from here? This book's ending will absolutely leave you eager for the next book in this series.
