The Return of the Knights Review Spotlight

Welcome to the blog tour for The Return of the Knights by Gregory Kontaxis! Lovers of fantasy novels!!! This book is for you!! Read on for more details!

The Return of the Knights is THAT BOOK of 2023. Okay, okay. It's ONE of those books for 2023. If there is a fantasy novel that you read this year, this should be one of them. Prepare to be gripped from page one and kept eagerly page-turning to the very end. Gregory Kontaxis will sweep you away into a world torn apart by war, danger all around, dynamic characters, and a storyline that will keep you coming back for more.

The Return of the Knights begins the story with a general on the battlefield. He knows that the fight ahead of him is one that he will not win. However, he refuses to simply yield the battle to the man coming to destroy the kingdom and establish himself as the new king. This usurper - the crown is something he has dreamed of for 17 years, and the time has come for him to steamroll his way across the land, crushing any and all under his heel who dare to stand against him. He won't stop until he sits on the throne.

Kontaxis will pull you to the edge of your seat with the details of the battles these characters embroiled. Tragedy is a constant with lives being lost at every turn. Men give their lives so that their fellow soldiers, generals, and families can have a chance, no matter how slim, to escape or at least try to.

The story shifts from character to character, but don't settle in on one because it won't be long before you are shifted on to another. The story is told in the third person, but a young man named Elliot will be this story's primary focus.

Elliot is something else! He's been trained by one of the best, and his skill with a sword is absolutely superb! You'd almost think him invincible, but he is only human. However, there is more to him than meets the eye. The author is going to plant little secrets throughout this book. Grab each secret that is exposed and gather it. Put it in a pile, and keep hold of it. The author is piecing together a puzzle that will gradually reveal itself. Don't rush to guess the image that is coming to light. What you are seeing may or may not be completely true.

The Return of the Knights is Gregory Kontaxis's DEBUT NOVEL! I refuse to believe it. LOL! I just can't! This book is too good!!! The attention to detail without going overboard, the drama, the tension, and the backstory scattered throughout! OMG! This book is nearly sheer perfection! This author grabbed me from the beginning when he dropped me in the middle of a war. Not the BEGINNING of one, but one that has been ongoing! My jaw was on the floor!

Page after page this author pulled me to the edge of my seat. You will find these pages packed with drama, war, the threat of assassins, danger at every turn, secrets, lies, and an ending that will have you thinking "When is book two coming?!" Well since book one JUST released...it's safe to say we're going to have to settle down, settle in and stalk the author for updates. LOL! I'm already all over it. The "stalking" in an acceptable way. LOL!

This book merits the top 10 of 2023 status for me. When you grab this book, clear your schedule, because when you start reading it you're not going to want to put it down. The characters will demand your attention, and the storyline will say that you're not going anywhere until you turn the last page. This epic fantasy is a must read for all who enjoy a good fantasy novel. I absolutely cannot wait to find out what happens next.

5 out of 5 stars
