Welcome to another Legends of Everclearing novel! Yes, this book is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone novel with a HEA. Prepare yourself to meet new characters that will engage you to the very end.

Tristram is a demon, he goes by the name of Tragic because of what he is. A fallen. He is injured, dying, and simply trying to stay alive. But are his final moments here? Vinaya comes across him in the woods, and despite his attempts to frighten her she stays and helps him. Will she regret her decision? Will he choose to shun her like the people she grew up with? Or will they each touch and melt the other's heart and walls and become something more?

Tristram the Demon is a welcome and well-done addition to the series. The author starts the story off with a forest scene that plays out beautifully. From the very beginning, you gain insight into the type of person Vinaya is. She's kind, caring, beautiful - inside and out, and compassionate. She's suffered emotionally regarding those who should have cared for her. Simply because she is different in her appearance. But you quickly see that she won't allow someone to suffer in pain if she can help them.

The story follows Tristram aka Tragic, and Vinaya as they grow together as he slowly heals. Things are peaceful for a time, but as we all know - peace never lasts forever. There must be something to come and destroy that peace and boy when it comes it comes in a big way! Now, I know what you're thinking - big as in...something dramatic? No. But it is something that intends to disrupt and forever change Vinaya's world. Good thing she has Tristram with her, because her "family"...well, they're trash. Period. You'll see why.

The drama continues to build after a certain point, but it builds in multiple directions. The drama is well done, but the pace of the story is what will really keep you engaged. I love the dynamics between the characters, and how well they work together.

This is an enjoyable novel and one that is a great addition to the series. I know that you are going to love the twists and turns that the author weaves into this story with a nice development of a sweet romance between the characters.

I am choosing to rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tristram the Demon

Publication Date: March 31st, 2023

Genre: Romantic Fantasy

A demon searching for redemption. A lonely girl searching for love. Will love and forgiveness be enough to escape the clutches of hell and open the gates of heaven?

After years of serving the Underworld, Tristram the demon recants his choice for hell and leaves his demonic life behind. As a consequence, he is relentlessly hunted and mortally wounded by his former brothers who are intent on taking him back to the land of the dead.

Vinaya, shunned by humankind as a witch, finds Tristram dying in the forest. She heals his wounds and helps him discover there are dual sides to his nature.

While Vinaya struggles to understand Tristram’s true spirit, he grapples with the guilt and shame of his past life. As love binds them together, they journey to a mystical land called Everclearing which serves as the gateway to heaven. In a desperate appeal to the Ny-Failen of Everclearing, Tristram must prove that he has truly repented of his past sins. But is he worthy of redemption?

Unknown magic and new love are their only hope as Tristram and Vinaya struggle to stay together and save his soul. Will hell let him go and will heaven take him back?

As one of the Legends of Everclearing, Tristram the Demon is a standalone fantasy. If you like a sweet love story, heart-stopping action, adventure, and a happily-ever-after ending, you’ll love Tristram the Demon. This is a swoon-worthy tale of sacrifice where love conquers all when redemption is a hope worth fighting for.

About the Author

Wendy L. Anderson is a writer of passionately charged fantasy. Breaking the barriers of typical fantasy themes, she created the Kingdom of Jior epic fantasy series, a lusty and poetic five-book series that will have you wanting more in her Legends of Everclearing spinoff series. Inspired by authors such as Robert E. Howard and Morgan Llywelyn, Wendy went on to write three other stand-alone works; A Cut Twice as Deep, Ulrik, and Rapunzel's Tower. These fantasy works break free from the usual boundaries of fantasy genres.

A Colorado native and mother of two; she has decided it is time to write down the fantasies from her mind. Writing about everything from fantastical worlds to the stuff of her dreams she takes her stories along interesting paths while portraying characters and worlds she sees in her mind's eye. Her goal is to deviate from common themes, write in original directions and transport her reader to the worlds of her creation.

Wendy L. Anderson's fantasy has action, adventure, and suspense with just the right amount of romance!
