Terra Nova by MtG is the first in a series, with book two soon to come in the new year. The author introduces readers to a unique storyline that will keep you page-turning the minute you start this book.

Imagine that you're a teenager, living an average everyday life. Then, everything changes when you start having strange symptoms only to be diagnosed with a rare, genetic blood disorder. Well, that is Evangeline's story. As her health deteriorates something strange happens - a door opens into a parallel world. Would you take that risk? Step through the door to find out what awaits you on the otherside? Would you take that risk not knowing whether you'd be able to return back to the Earth you know?

Evangeline is now in a world called Terra Nova that is home to vampires. Sounds thrilling right? Well, it would be once you got over the initial shock of that there are no traces of humanity. What happened? What brought all of this about? How will she handle it all? Packed with questions running through your brain, this book will compel you to dig deeper into this new world of Terra Nova and find out how Evangeline will handle it all.

This book is an absolute page-turner, and for readers who enjoy vampire novels you're going to love the twist that the author takes in showing Evangeline what she is becoming. It's not an easy pill to swallow to one minute believe that you're sick and possibly dying from this disorder to learn a different truth.

But wait! There's more! The author plants another character who must make an impossible choice that will impact those in both worlds. Back home, Evangeline's family is also searching for answers. You gotta love the government conspiracy wrapped up in this book. It simply adds to the drama element.

The ending of this book will not be the end of the story, and I can't wait to find out what happens next. You just know that it's going to be something amazing.

Evangeline is living the life of a normal teenager until mysterious, severe symptoms begin appearing. After passing out in the middle of a party, life as she knows it spirals beyond her grasp. In the delirium of her deteriorating health, a door to a parallel world opens before her; however, once she steps through it, the portal closes, and she is unable to return to Earth.

The place Evangeline now finds herself in is called Terra Nova, a world wherein vampires rule supreme, with no traces of humanity left to speak of. Curious but afraid, she quickly learns that Terra Nova is not the shadow-side of Earth, but rather the tragic result of government experimentation. In order to survive, she must keep her mind open and accept the changes her body is undergoing; soon enough, those who she initially thinks are murderers become her trainers, whose help she must enlist if she ever hopes to return home—and soon enough, a romantic bond begins to bloom.

Meanwhile, Evangeline’s brother and friends back on Earth try to figure out what happened to her, how the government is involved, and how to bring her home. Unbeknownst to any of them is the mysterious outcast Bambi, whose secrecy disguises her power in making a devastating choice: save one world at the risk of destroying the other.

About the Author

MTG has worked in numerous positions, mainly in managerial and executive roles. These include the editor-in-chief of a cultural magazine, an executive director, and most recently, the manager of a non-profit organization that works with immigrants and refugees. She has extensive experience working and studying abroad, including Germany, Italy, Korea, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan; these experiences taught her about many cultures and worldviews, which influenced her writing.

Terra Nova, her first publication, is Book 1 of a series. The series’ concept emerged when she, like the protagonist, was diagnosed with the blood disorder paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), and her then-boyfriend (now husband) joked she was becoming a vampire. She currently works and resides in Canada.
