Blossom and Bone Review Spotlight

Experience true love, and discover hidden heart desires, but beware of the allure of illusion.

Blossom and Bone is the first book in Mary E. Jung's Libra Witch series and you are going to love this book. This is a stand-alone novel so you're going to get an entire story with these characters and a nice sweet ending.

Meet Ame, a vegetation witch. Read that slowly people. Vegetation witch. I swear every time I read "vegetation" my brain said "vegetarian." I got a lot of laughs out of myself on that. LOL! She runs her own plant shop (and I immediately loved her character LOL). She loves what she does and she is extremely talented. She develops flower mates that help people realize their true heart's desires.

Then there is Xephriel. He has worked next door to Ame for several years now. He's a bone witch and due to his empathicness being around other people is difficult. In fact, he can be dangerous to his health and worse. But when a murder case lands in his lap, he's going to find himself drawn even closer to Ame in a quest to not only help clear her name, but see if there could be more between them.

Brace yourself. When you start this book, it is going to absolutely sweep you away. You blink and the story is going to be over. LOL! I'm serious though. The storyline is so well-written, the characters are truly engaging, and you can't help but devour this book.

Page by page you see how the author sets the stage for the characters to come together. You'll see the dangers unfolding around Ame, and you'll get excited for Xephriel to contribute as well.

Xephriel is an enigma, but you're going to feel nothing but empathy for him as you learn more about him. I love that he falls first for Ame as he's the one who has an epic realization before she does. Of course, his friend Noble is a bit of a riot when they all come together. Noble's particular scene brings a nice spot of humor and relief to an otherwise really dark moment.

Page by page you are drawn deeper and deeper into this story and you eagerly race to the end to find out how it all ends. I was actually really sorry for their story to end. But they deserve their ending so I'll let it go. I just would have loved to have more of them - yes, another book. LOL!

This book is a must-read. Period. Don't miss the opportunity to grab this book because it is absolutely delightful.

5 out of 5 stars

Thank you to the author, Mary E. Jung, and R&R Book Tours for the opportunity to read and review this book! I look forward to what comes next!
