Are you looking for a new suspense thriller that will keep you page-turning to find out what happens next with true to life characters? Then look no further than Last Known Location. Evan Mackenzie brings characters and scenery to life with a storyline that follows a woman having some struggles in her life. Her last relationship went south, but what compounds all of it? The relationship was with her neighbor wh also happens to be co-worker. Talk about your sticky pile of drama waiting to turn ugly!

After another visit from the police, she decides that it's time to take a break and get away for a minute. Peace is wonderful in the woods, but only lasts as long as you are there. But she doesn'te expect to cross paths with a handsome strange who piques her interest. While there are some red flags concerning his behavior and responses to questions, she finds herself intrigued by him. But meetings on the trail should remain happenstance, right? Well, when he turns up later injured, and with "memory loss" will Gwen lose herself to the hope of romance? Who is this guy and what is his history? Well, the deeper you dig, the more you'll learn...and that nothing is what it seems.

Last Known Location is going to pull you in from the very beginning of this novel. Gwen is going to make you frown with some of her behavior, but for those who have experienced some of the things that she's gone through - they'll understand more. Gwen is an interesting character, and you're going to appreciate how she comes off true to life. You can easily imagine her walking around right now in a small town in Virginia.

The dynamics between the characters is truly interesting. The author switches around with the characters with each chapter. The good news is that you know which character you are transitioning to with each chapter. You get Gwen, Drew ( the officer), and a PI as the primary focuses. They each unfold a piece of the story and take you deeper and deeper. Piece by piece you'll see a puzzle coming together where secrets have been long buried in the past. But if there is one thing about secrets and the past and that is...nothing stays buried.

Be careful when you pick this book up because once you start reading...you're not going to want to put it down. I just might have a new personal favorite author in the suspense/thriller genre. Brace yourself for revelations you won't see coming, because this storyline will not let you go until the end.

I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.
